On your phone

No app store. No download.

Add brodidit to your home screen and it behaves like any other app, its own icon, no browser bars, and it keeps working with no connection.

iPhone & iPad

Share, then Add to Home Screen

In Safari, tap the Share button at the bottom, scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”. It has to be Safari, Chrome on iOS cannot do it.

Android

Tap Add when it offers

Chrome offers to install it as soon as you have used a tool. If you dismissed it, use the browser menu and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.

Computer

The icon in the address bar

Chrome and Edge show an install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar. It opens in its own window afterwards.

01

Nothing to download

No store account, no 60 MB install, no permissions to grant. It is the same site, kept on your phone.

02

It works on a plane

Every tool you have opened keeps working with the connection off, because the work was never happening elsewhere.

03

Still nothing uploaded

Installing changes where the icon sits, not how it works. Your files stay on the device, exactly as before.

What about real store apps?

Native iPhone and Android apps are planned, and they will do a few things this cannot , mainly accepting files shared directly from other apps, and handling very large documents more comfortably.

For everything else, the home screen version is the same set of tools, updated the moment we change anything, with no store review in between.

Does it take up space?

A few megabytes, roughly the size of a handful of photos.

Will it update itself?

Yes. It picks up changes next time you open it with a connection.

How do I remove it?

Delete the icon the same way you delete any app.
